Where to find extra Hotronic AP41 connectors?

I just picked up a Hotronic AP41, and on the back it's got extra spots (with black plugs right now) for "SDI Out", "Y" (sorry, it doesn't say whether it is for input or output, and the "U" and "V" are labelled, but Hotronic didn't even bother to drill holes for connectors), and "Y/C Out". I see on the interior boards that there are slots for connectors to be plugged in. Anyone know where I could get some extra connectors so that I can add those connections? The Y/C in on this model is the standard 5-din connector, so I'd be looking for another 5-din connector.

My best guess would be another used Hotronic device.
I forget if they're still in business. If so, check with them as well.

Do you mean 4-pin mini-DIN for the S-Video connectors? They are fairly common, an electronics parts supplier like Digikey or Mouser would have them. You are likely looking for soldered PCB mount connectors. The plug might not be the only thing missing though. Components to drive the output are usually missing from the board in the unit.

Yeah, those features are upgrades from the standard model so I imagine it's not as easy as just adding the plugs.

I have been in contact with Hotronics (www.hotronics.com) and they've told me that the TBC that I've got is the first model up from the base model (AP-41SW) with it having the S-Video Input, and then it can be upgraded to other levels of AP-41's.

All of the models including the lowest are considered upgradable by the company.

Have you made any progress with it?

That kind of upgrade most of the time entails more hardware than just adding the connector.
