Can I use my Panasonic NV-HS1000 as a standalone TBC?

Hi. I just bought myself an used Panasonic NV-HS1000. This has a built in full frame TBC, right?
I love the quality from this HS1000 on tapes in perfect condition. But on really worn tapes, there's a lot of distortions from that Panasonic. On really worn tapes like that, I actually prefer the image from my JVC HR-V500, another VCR that I have... but this has no built in TBC :-(
So my question is; Is there any way I can loop the signal from my JVC HR-V500 through the Panasonic NV-HS1000 and take advantage of it's full frame TBC, without actually have to record it to another tape? Is there some kind of tric that makes it possible to use it just like a standalone TBC, if you understand what I mean?

Thanks.
Sorry for bad english

You can't use a VCR as a pass-thru TBC.
