Panasonic AG-1980 VCR repair - Which boards to recap?

There appears to be agreement that the electrolytic capacitors on the Y/C, Display, and possibly power supply should all be replaced as part of a recapping job.

Is there a consensus as to whether or not it is worth replacing the capacitors on the remaining PC boards?
Some, like the I/O pack and the Audio 2 daughter board look like they would be a pain to reach.
And the RF section may well be moot at this time.

Repairing an AG1980 is always worth the effort. :)

Agree - my question is whether it is worth going beyond the Y/C, Display and power supply boards while the machine is open, or is that overkill 99% of the time..

I don't like messing with power boards. I'd only fix the audio board if you're having audio issues, or see obvious leaks/bulges on caps. Same goes for the power board, I guess -- fix leaks/bulges only. Or better yet, use one of the meters are see the values, don't just look for bulge/leak issues. That's what pro repair shops do.
