Panasonic NV-HS1000 VCR does not operate?
 

Hi all, I've buy this VCR recently and i've a problem with it : I can't do anything both with "keyboard" and remote. The VCR keep in standby mode. The player system seem to be ok because when i put tape in, the vcr load it and start play with picture and sound but i can't do anything else, the eject button is not functionnal. So the only solution to eject the tape is to do it manualy (i've seen the solution in the service manual). This problem looklike an "hold" function. I know the remote is communicating with vcr because when i push the transmit button the vcr send bip sound.
I've read in the service manual that are two test point to access to service display mode but i don't know where they are. I had search on the top electronic board and on the front electronic board but i haven't seen those test point.
Please i need your help.

There is probably bad caps on the board, preventing command inputs from working.

Or maybe the ribbon cable connecting the front buttons to the main unit has cracked.
