I actually have this somewhere, as well as most other DataVideo manuals, but they are so utterly useless. More like "pamphlet that describes obvious functions", as there are quite a few internal switches and jumpers that are undocumented. Things like switching NTSC/PAL, IRE, and board model modes.

Is there an internal switch in the -4000 for selecting between NTSC and PAL? It might be related to my current PAL capture issues.

DataVideo documentation was terrible, and I would not trust that inclusion. It feels as if marketing wrote that pathetic pamphlet, not a tech that knew how to operate it.

The TBC-4000 does not auto-sense PAL/NTSC like the TBC-100/1000. There is an internal DIP or jumper on the board. DIP1, or jumper is marked on the board in tiny print, easy to overlook it. DIP2 is IRE, no jumper.

That probably is your issue.
