I have nothing to add here, but I do enjoy following the discussion. :)

So I found a source for the 8- and 10-pin internal header mating connectors!
The model in the photo is a stripped AIW X800XT AGP (bad GPU). Shells are P/N "KHS-08" and "KHS-10" "2.00mm Female Nylon H" Contacts are P/N "KHS-PIN/F2.00" "2.00mm Female P" These part numbers have no meaning outside the store and whatever company in Asia makes them (according to the owner). I had to get a bag of each type and a roll of electrical contacts... so I'll probably list some on the marketplace for anyone who wants to tinker. And I'll be happy to mail out samples to the two members (+ the admin) who did the research here (message me please). |
Pretty cool.. those look like Pan Pacific Terminal Housings. Tri-tek might have them.

Sorry to bump this thread, but did dpalomaki ever get round to testing out the MiniDVI connector? I've got an x800 in the mail that doesn't have the molex connectors that allow you to bypass the MiniDVI connector and I don't trust myself with soldering directly onto the board (as suggested here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...html#post53661) I would be happy to splice a MiniDVI cable though, but I'd like to know whether it works before I go and spend some money on one.

The Apple/MAC Mini-DVI connector I received DID NOT fit the ATI card I have on hand. |

its 4am on a wednesday morning... I've been reinstalling Windows XP with different driver versions/combinations ever since Friday... And now, I finally know why I ALWAYS ENDED UP WITH A GREEN SCREEEEEEEENNNN Back in 2006, my brother had an X800 All n Wonder card, and at some point, lost it when the machine was eventually sold. However, all the adapters were left behind, and I held onto them. I wanted to capture VHS family videos for my family, a great big stack of 28 of them, and as luck would have it, I saw an "X800 All in wonder" card, without any adapter cables, for sale near me. I purchased it. My long weekend, is now long over. But I now have closure. I bought an X800XL PCIE CARD My existing silver stab connector on the other hand... "6110018300 D", belonged to an X800XT :smack: It was impossible from the very beginning! But my god, this threads information is probably the only thing that saved the rest of my months free time. Thank you so much for posting this. |
