Capture from HDMI or whatever
Hello,
I would like to record videos from my desktop to get some program tutorials. Windows or Linux as operating system. Audio may not be a big problem, as I'll add it afterwards. With older PCs I use to capture from s-video or composite as their graphic card own. Now the older PCs are too slow for some apps and I need to use modern PCs that have not s-video or composite. How can I capture my desktop? Regards, R. |
Why not use screen recording software?
If you do decide you need a capture device, recommendations would depend on whether you want the ability to capture lossless (device outputs uncompressed, allowing software compression) or not (device outputs hardware-compressed). |
VLC can do that
