Help choosing V-Dub Version for Capture and HQ filtering

Newbie saying hello Digital FAQ wonders if current V-Dub2 update is the correct option for capture, and filtering loading the filter selection from lordsmurf's recommendation, and new HQ ones if any. Actually I don't mind using multiple versions for such a couple of objectives. I just need to be sure my decision is well informed considering latest versions out there. I run Win7 Pro 64 with an i5-2410M @2.3 GHz and wonder between 32&64 too.

Congratulations to all so skilled staff here and thankful for any kind advise.

VirtualDub2 is fork of VirtualDub 1.10.x, which has capture issues.
VirtualDub2 has some unique filter bugs, still not resolved.
VirtualDub2 mostly good for transcoding to other formats, like ProRes422.

Capture lossless Huffyuv in VirtualDub 1.9.x.

HQ?

Win7 is fine.

Thanks, I'll capture as you suggest.
By HQ I meant High Quality.
Since I run 64-bit... Should I use 64-bit VirtualDub? Do your filter bundle filters work ok under 64-bit?

A lot of thanks.
