VirtualDub showing black screen instead of capture
Outta nowhere my Windows 10 machine started showing a black screen in virtualdub after selecting my USB capture device.
Telvion USB that has worked before and it works on another machine no issue. Selecting USB 2861 Video (DirectShow) from the device drop down menu just shows a black screen. I can get it show the video through Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32)(VFW) but video is a little choopy and doesn't seem to want to capture audio. This definitely feels like a Windows 10 quirk and not the USB's fault. Any advice? |
Have you tried with a recent Virtualdub2? One of the windows 10 updates changed something that broke the previews in virtualdub, which has been fixed in the latest version.

Just tried VDub2 and no success. Same story. Black screen when selecting usb device. Tried Previews and Overlay.

I have to use the 32-bit version of VirtualDub on my 64-bit Win10 machine. Maybe you installed both versions and are trying to run the wrong one.
