Purple flickering lines on transfer?
 

I've been trying to digitize old rental VHS tapes. I've tried with 2 different VCR's and several different tapes, so there are no problems with the VCR or the tape itself. Playback when hooked up to the TV is fine.

Purple flickering lines appear throughout, but they are pretty much only noticeable when the picture/scene is of a bright colour.

I'll attach a video of the the issue; it's hard to notice it with just screenshots. Thankful for any insight.

TechnicolouredVHS is experiencing a similar issue here. I'm waiting to hear if an ES-15 solves the problem.

Looks like tape signal drop outs, The VCR's DOC is doing a good job masking the noise but there isn't much can be done about it other than some advanced Hollywood frame by frame artistic restoration.
