Hauppauge WinTV Vs VirtualDub?
 

Whats the main benefits of VirtualDub?

I cant get my Hauppauge 950 to work with VirtualDub anyway so might not have a choice haha. Capturing the pre recorded VHS Pal quite nice with the Hauppauge WinTV software though..

VirtualDub is made for analog capture. Dropped frames counters, inserts, audio handling, etc. No other program does what it does.

If you're having issues, you need to solve those -- not give up, look for something else.

Modern WinTV is PVR crapware. You'll be capturing compressed junk video. Best of all: it costs money. Lose-lose.

The video did start showing on VirtualDub and all looked good but then it just stopped and i cant get it back, very odd
