AVDC-300 Canopus Picture Controller software download?

Hello all,

I hope this is a topic which is allowed!

Try as I might I can not find a download link anywhere (no matter the 'Google-Foo') for the Picture Controller software for the AVDC-300. I have even tried the vestigial Canopus/Green Valley website but that when it finally did register sent me round a ceaseless trial of 404 pages.

Surely it's not that difficult to come by, accepting it's old hardware and all.

Any pointers or suggestions most welcome.

Cheers,
RR

Allowed.

Google-foo, check.
But what about WaybackMachine-foo? :hmm:

Try: https://wwwcms.grassvalley.com/suppo...cts?product=76

GV has made major changes to their web page and their support forums (not all for the better). In some cases it still is in a state of flux. The above link just now worked for me to find the ADVC300 downloads page.

Thanks @dpalomaki - seems they have two parallel websites.

Issue now solved, thanks again.

Perhaps they renamed their old 'WWW' host to 'WWWCMS' as a step in a phased transition.

In any case they have botched a smooth transition as far as customer use. Folks are grumbling about how the redid their user orum system too.

[soapbox] IT turks thinking they know what works best for everyone while trying to mark their territory much like dogs mark theirs [/soapbox]

OOoooo ... you just gave me an idea. I think I can make a [soapbox] bbcode, quote box with little angry smileys.

Anyway ... consider attaching that software here, before GV decides to just disappear/trash it altogether?

Contains PDF User Manual, PC software, and MAC OSX software.

The PC version is listed for Win 2K and XP, but known to work with Win 7 and Win 10 provided the legacy IEEE1394 drivers are loaded (mine are dated 6/21/2006 on the W10 box) and a suitable IEEE1394 port is available. No idea about the MAC side.
