Does VirtualDub need an active connection of some sort through the AIW before it will detect it as a source for video capture? Either a cable connected or a powered on VCR, etc.? Or should it detect the card itself as the source?

The card is the source. Wires not needed for detection.

AIW is detected without purple/domino box.

If not detected, check Device Manager for

Thanks, I was afraid that would be your answer.

Everything was showing fine in Device Manager, but no sources were listed in Virtualdub. Oddly, while I had the AIW properties open, the error in the third image popped up for the first (and so far only) time.

After I installed radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.3.2-minimalsetup-210329_web.exe, however, sources appeared, as seen in the fourth image.

What do you have?
That appears to be a Radeon graphics card, not an All-In-Wonder (AIW) capture card.

And where did you get the drivers?
What have you been installing?

Sorry, just saw your response.

Currently installed is the card shown in the attached photos. Drivers have been downloaded from this site, but to be honest, I don't remember what the last set was that I installed. A number of them that I believed to be for the AIW 2006 either didn't recognize the device, or the device didn't recognize the drivers.
