VirtualDub Capture Preview - Video Flickering & Glitching
 

JVC SR-V10 based -> ES10 -> Hauppauge WinTV-HVR950

I have attached a quickly and poorly recorded sample of the video appearing to be jumpy.. It does this intermittently where the image looks like everything twitches. What are some setting that I should consider while using VirtualDub, the JVC or the ES10 to address these issues?

I’d also like to add that I noticed the FPS value was fluctuating at the bottom right in the VirtualDub interface. It was going between 24-29 FPS. I am hoping it is a setting that could address this?

The glitching looks like the line TBC in the VCR had trouble locking on. Maybe the tape is stretched? That would also explain the fluctuating FPS value. Do you have same problem on other tapes?

I tried other tapes and I had the same issue as well.
