ATI 9600 All in Wonders code-10 issues?
 

I have a pair of identicle 9600 all in wonder 128mb agp cards running on this:

XP SP2

mmc-9-1-0-0-dao-mdac.exe
mmc-9-03-0-0.exe

1st Card. Works fine! same drivers, same operating system of xp sp2

2nd Card. Has a persistent Code-10. This manifested itself over time! Now I just
cannot make this code-10 go away! Everything from a full clean wipe to fresh re-install,
it just will not work! :question:

I can pull the 2nd card, replace it with the 1st card, code-10 resolves and everything works fine! no wiping/removing of drivers, same xp sp2. Odd :question:

Put the 1st card back! Code-10 again!

I have owned these cards since 2004 and have recorded thousands of hours of mpeg2 video! I cannot grumble about that tbh! The cards have earned their keep 100-fold.

Is there anything else I can do? can these cards even be repaired or is that it? when they kick the bucket its game over?
