ATI TV Wonder 600 USB: AV cable connection type?

2 Attachment(s)
What the is the AV cable connection type on the side of the ATI 600 USB? See photo.

I have an AV cable (S-Video, yellow, white, red) with a Mini-B USB end in another Hauppauge stick that I would like to cannibalize for use with ATI 600, as I don't have the ATI 600 cable. So, I'm wondering if there is an adapter that converts whatever that USB connection is called on ATI 600 with Mini-B USB.

I too recently acquired an ATI 600 USB missing the AV cable, so I’m giving this thread a bump.

Same situation here. I guess these cables are hard to come by?

Yes, hard to come by.
However, anybody needing one should contact me. ;)

I have a couple of different brands of Empia 286X based USB converters using this same connector. The cables were not compatible with each other so I suspect this is not a generic cable.

Correct, nope, it is not the same. Many of these cables "look" the same, but are not the same. Even the ATI "clones" have different cables (as the "clones" are near clones, not 1:1 identical, hence the " " when I reference these as "clones"). All look the same, but are not the same. Each brand did their own thing, and the communication varies based on bridge/chip factors.

However, I have a cache of cables. It's not a bottomless pit, but enough to make several cable-less owners happy. Just realize these are not cheap, and will probably cost you more than the cable-less bare stick did. But that's why the bare stick is cheap -- it's essentially worthless without the cables. Overall, it'll still be a good discount vs. buying the complete card.

More and more, I also find that the OEM ATI USB extender needs to be trashed. Too flexible, too bent because of how it was initially (badly) packed in the box. I have better USB extenders now, but again only a small cache.
