I have tried to turn both screws multiple times on both directions and only result I got is that when I insert tape I have disorted half of picture for one second and then it dissapears. When rewind I can see half of the picture on the preview. I don't know if I have damaged something or tape isn't properly aligned. How to properly set it? Thanks.

I told you how in post # 38 https://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vid...html#post92641
including pictures... At that point if i were you i would first just insert a SP tape without playing and realign the reel on whichever guide you have tweaked before ( See pictures). Make sure the reel is somewhere in the middle and also check the position on the AC head. Can check the lower part of the drum aswell that the reel is not too high/low. Disengage auto tracking and then play the tape (on some vcr's you have to play then disengage..depends), tweak further while playing (little by litle with the special screwdriver) Also don't forget you have to connect the vcr directly to you TV (preferably old CRT) not via a dvd recorder, upscaler etc... Good luck |
I have spare damaged Panasonic sd45. It's possible to exchange left roller guide with my Panasonic fj 612 because the screw is very worn out?
|
i have no idea about that, perhaps since it's a panasonic aswell.

I have replaced screws at guide rollers but during reassemblement I don't know where to put this little spring
https://ibb.co/HqhbCxw https://ibb.co/K77Yjgc I have looked at service manual but still don't know where to put it. https://elektrotanya.com/panasonic_nv-fj612ee_vcr.pdf/download.html |

I have replaced guide rollers and there is a gap between guide pole and tape. How to reduce it? Thanks.

You are talking about the gap between the erase head and the tape i presume. Are you sure the head is in its right place to begin with (not slightly off ?)
It shouldn't be a factor to playback tapes anyway, assuming the tape tension is good. |

I suspect that's the problem that you have:

Guide rollers that are screwed in has plastic thread and has worn out. Is JVC HR J672 good option for LP tapes? Thanks.
|
It's a 2 heads vcr, you can't play LP tapes with it
|
The HR-J672 is a 4-head + hifi, it plays LP fine. Idk if it has the issues with dropout compensation that the next years HR-J681 model I have does though.

Which one is better Panasonic nv HD 647 or hv 60 thanks?
|
Would go with the HD 647, the HV60 is later and cost cut and from a lineup with known capacitor issues.
|
And if these are at the same price also hd647?
|
Yeah would definitely go for the HD647 over the HV60
|
I have question about JVC HR s9850 svhs. I have found it in good price but would be any difference in LP cassetes transferring from this Panasonic HD 647? There is any sense of misaligning such vcr to certain cassetes? I have JVC m100 dvd recorder. Thanks.

I am trying to start my old vcr Panasonic fj612 and have such problem that when inserting the tape the mechanism is not working despite vcr being turned on. What can be wrong? Thanks.
