Best Panasonic VCR for VHS-C tapes?

Currently have a JVC HR-DV3SU which I’m happy with, giving great quality captures. I have seen though that Panasonic VCRs are better for VHS-C and are less likely to eat the tapes. I have my eye on 3 on eBay and I’m just wondering which model would you say is best out of:

NV-HS860
NV-HS960
NV-FS200

And also in terms of VHS-C adapters I have my eye on a JVC C-P6U, P7U and P8U. Which of these is best?

Thanks!

I suspect the differences between these makes and models in tape handling when new would be small compared to now many years later when individual machine condition is an unknown, often until its too late and the tape has been permanently damaged by a machine in a poor state of repair 20 years later.
