JVC HS-S7960 vs. HR-S8690 differences?

Greetings from Greece,

What is the difference between the JVC HR-S7960E and HR-S8690E?
Do you know which is better?

I am converting some old anime VHS tapes to DVD, and I like to know if I can get better quality.

My current setup is:
JVC HR-S7600EU & Panasonic NV-FS200.
JVC DR-M100SE DVD recorder.

Will I obtain better quality if I upgrade to the JVC HR-S7960E or HR-S8690E?

What about the JVC HR-S9765EK & HR-S8965EK, are same as the JVC HR-S7960E & HR-S8690E?

Thank you.

I don't like Dynamic Drum VCR'S, I will fo for 7600, 7611 or 7722, I have all these and I love them.

Which one would you choose between these three? I'd like to know more about 7600 vs 7611. Which one do you recommend?

I know the 7611 have no s-video output, but scart output. Do they have the same tbc abilities?

Thank you!

7600, 7611, 7711, and 7722 are all close to identical.

The JVC HR-S7611 has s-video.
But it appears there may be two versions (?), or more likely a mislabeled unit being sold as 7611.

Thank you!
I suppose you are referring to a certain ebay post. Yes, I've noticed it a long time ago, and you're right. It is a S5970 mislabeled as a S7611.
