I am wondering if I have the right chipset?
I peeled my sticker off the bottom looking for a screw to take it apart. https://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vid...box-510-a.html Maybe I misunderstood something there. The 710 is easy to take apart. Mine captures fine from what I can see but I have limited experience and no other pinnacles to compare it to. I’m not really sure what some chipsets do better than other chipsets. |
What makes you wonder this? Quality issues? No issues?
Most times, just visually inspecting chips doesn't tell the entire story. This is why it can be hard to random acquire video gear, everything from VCRs to TBCs to capture cards. And especially when devices have long productions, with changes mid-production. Serious toy collectors tend to be best at sniffing out the tiny detail differences. We know where to look, to see the difference between productions, and even counterfeits. And those with IT skills take deep dives, beyond just the visuals. Most times, it really is the most rabbity of rabbit hole. |
I am just finding something to nerd out on I think lol. It’s okay, I’m not worried about it. Thank you for the response. Anyways by next month I should be ready to start capturing. I’m only lacking a VHS-C adapter which I’m getting for Christmas, so that’s gonna be cool. I’m looking forward to it.
