Service to capture damaged crinkled Hi8 tape?
I have one tape (so far) that's physically damaged. There are visible scratch marks on some parts of the tape, the roller mechanism appears to be jammed.
I think someone with expertise would need to open it up, "Iron" the tape, or cut out and splice the damaged sections, and capture whatever possible on a best efforts basis. Does anyone know of a service willing to take on this type of request? |

To me, SpecBros is the only company that comes to mind, when the issue is physically damaged media (flood, mud, fire, mold, oxide shed, excessive physical crinking, etc).
For non-damaged media, there is better. |
