Huh. I do see the chroma blurring there on the DPS575 there in that thread. Unfortunately, the test pattern used seems to be a paid test pattern DVD, so I can't exactly re-create that test specifically to see if my DPS575's have the same problem.

I will say that my DPS575 did have something like 15 bad SMT caps (which is all of them) on the main board, so I wouldn't be surprised if that could be potentially something related to bad caps (at least partially). I did fully recap mine, but again, haven't really done any testing yet. I also have a DPS470 which I'll also be testing eventually - Those use standard through-hole caps, but I also found most of those to be bad as well, so I recapped that too.

Seems like we need a more standard way of comparing quality with easily available identical source material. Perhaps using some patterns on the "Video Essentials" DVD played through a DVD player? Those are plentiful on ebay for less than $10 - I have a copy of that as well for testing purposes down the line.

If your other TBC's have built in test patterns you could feed those into the 575. That's what I did. The results weren't pretty. I'd post a picture but Media Express only captures still in .tga and I'm not sure if I can upload those here.
