Where to get s-video and stereo audio cables?
Hi all
I need a single cable that's going to be ran over ceilings and inside wall. 50ft/15m is what I will need. I have seen these available at DirectNine and ordered one, but since found out it may not even arrive as it's a site ran by folk in India and/or China and just fronted as a UK website. I'd rather have a single cable due to the job rather than 2 (and I can't see a stereo audio cable long enough either). Thanks Link to what I'm talking about: https://directnine.uk/products/rca-s...hoCT4sQAvD_BwE |
Why?
I'd rather have separate audio and video cables. Most of the cheaper composite cables with attached audio can literally be ripped apart. Those are attached with thin rubber. Too much is made of cable shielding at times. The irony is that super thick cables are more often a problem, and even made worse than the cheap cables (ie, profit grab, with suckers for buyers). That all said, Philips made the sort of cable you want. I have one for testing capture cards. |
I hope these cables are not for capturing, that's too long of a distance to be capturing from.

Yikes! I missed that. Yes, vastly too long for capturing.

Is there a general recommendation as to cable length when capturing? i try to keep my capture video cables as short as possible (ex. 1 meter s-video) but wondered about some of the longer cables (say, 16 feet or so).

3 ft / 1m, or less.
