Kramer TBC FC-400 settings, operation?

I recently received a TBC for my upcoming home video project that I'm super excited about. It's my first time every handling one of these devices. I am still tinkering with things on the Pinnacle 510-USB capture card/SR-V330/Virtual Dub and my computer, that it will be eventually be paired with.

My question is is regards to if anything needs to be changed on the back or front of the TBC for example adjustment knobs all be in certain direction? ( I have attached pictures) On the back side in the setup area, pin 8 is down should they all be in the up? I am assuming that once everything is correct is acts a pass through for just video and I won't have to change anything. All the devices I currently have contain s-video out so YC will be the input select but if I come across a device that only has composite, is the cable that is need for the CV input a BNC to composite?

Thanks again to all have helped me in my previous posts I would be totally lost without help from this site.

Yours is already set for your needs. It's now just a dumb/magic/boring box, "it do what it do", and all you must do now is plug in s-video cables.
VCR > TBC/FC-400 > capture card

Leave genlock off.

See manuals for DIPs, if you want to learn or change.

Composite is BNC, mere adapter needed.
Just buy this: https://amzn.to/3SPEVsI (and no, you cannot buy less # for less $, just buy 10)
