Dropped frames with TBC 1000?
Hi,
Been trying out a TBC 1000 which was capturing great then frames started dropping and then the video picture distorted; went as if Macrovision had kicked in. Was using: ATI 600 USB Virtual Dub 1:1:9 Windows XP ASUS P4P 800 Motherboard JVC HR-DVS3EK Mini DV SVHS (TBC) Tried a couple of tapes, same results? I’ve carried some MPEG2 captures on this set up with a Canopus EMR 100 USB and there was no issues ( without the TBC) Any thoughts? Thanks |
Guessing the TBC-1000 needs a recap. On mine, 80%+ of the caps were out of spec, with many being extremely out of spec.
I'm not totally convinced that you absolutely need a frame TBC if you're getting no dropped frames and no vertical jitter with a certain capture chain. I get it would be lame to have to re-capture something where these issues were seen after the capture though. |
Open the TBC-1000, and take a photo of it. I need to see it. Just 1 clear photo of the insides is all I need.
Where did the unit come from? When? |
