Virtualdub 1.9.11 vs. 1.10.4?

Hi all, I am using Virtualdub 1.10.4 with Huffyuv 2.11 and have been for some time now without seeing any problems. I have read here, written by Lordsmurf that 1.10 is a bad version and that I should be using 1.9.x so I have tried Virtualdub 1.9.11 but I do not see Huffyuv 2.11 in the compressor list of that version. Could someone please enliten me?
