Step-by-step VirtualDub guide?

Hello,

I'm in search of a VirtualDub step by step user guide for beginners. I'm sure it exists here somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Glad to help.

They say it in that thread but don’t forget your timing settings and whether you use preview or overlay depend on your capture card. Make sure your antivirus is off and firewalls are disabled.

I usually push control alt delete to bring up task manager then click on Vdub go to details then set my priority level to real time. I’ll also delete some unnecessary stuff going on while I’m on task manager. Keep in mind that when you start capturing your CPU usage shouldn’t be over the 20s. If CPU usage gets around 50 percent you’ll have issues.
