Thanks! That's what I'm getting from the setup.
Capture source video with VirtualDub, 480i FFV1 Lossless. Process in VirtualDub, Deinterlace with MSU Deinterlacer to 59.94p with H.265 Lossless, MOV container. Commercials are spliced and also upscaled to 4K in DaVinci Resolve, output H.265 MOV then uploaded to YouTube. The upscale does nothing to improve quality (IMHO), it's merely done to avoid YouTube's horrifically brutal bitrates for SD content. Sometimes I use very mild noise reduction in the audio and/or video depending on the state of the tape. |
