Capture Video8 tape to OBS is flickering?
 

My capture video with OBS is flickering. The screen on the camcorder does not flicker.
I am using
Sony CCD-TRV22
Large Video 8 tapes, not the mini
Elgato Capture USB card
The Video Device in OBS shows : Elgato Video Capture
Can I get rid of the flickering?

Flickering has two common causes
- lack of any TBCs
- lousy inferior capture card, which Elgato is (and earned the nickname Elcrapo)

The camcorder LCD is immaterial, it's not capturing the full signal.

I don't recall is the Sony CCD-TRV22 has a line TBC.

But replacing that "cheap" (quality) Elgato card with something better, and using VirtualDub, will go a long way to correcting this.

Standard issue, nothing unusual here.
