Hybrid settings to output mono sound?
 

I am trying to output mono sound from Hybrid so that it will play through both speakers. In audio tab - audio encoding options - filtering there is an option for downmix which includes "to stereo" etc but when selected nothing happens and the sound is still on one channel. In the help section it refers to a sox manual but the link is dead. I really do wish there was some sort of user manual for this software, it is driving to an ulcer. Any advice please?

I'm betting your source file has two audio channels, however on is damaged or blank. You'll need to manually correct this. Delete the bad track, or clone over it with the good track.

I don't think Hybrid can automated do this task. Paging @Selur. (< the new forum software actually has that feature!)

Yes, the track is blank as the VHS was recorded on an old mono machine. To make one channel use two is an easy operation in Premier and even Virtualdub. I am trying to streamline my workflow and achieve as much as possible in Hybrid. What is the new forum software that you mention?
