Hybrid won't export, shovel man not responding?
3 Attachment(s)
I've always considered myself fairly computer literate and technologically competent, but man... I don't know if I've ever felt as helpless as I have since the day I started trying to capture and deinterlace VHS tapes.
[ TL;DR - Hybrid won't process my video, and I can't figure out why. ] I captured an AVI file via VirtualDub. Loaded the AVI into Hybrid to correct the aspect ratio, deinterlace, ignore the audio (it's old silent film footage), and convert to MP4. So I filled out my settings for these goals in Hybrid, and went back to the Base tab to click the shovel man and process the video. When I did, Hybrid's text log confirmed that it was creating the job, and the little progress bar showed up at the bottom... but it just won't do anything. The bar doesn't move, and no video file is made. I even just let it sit for ten minutes just to make sure it didn't need some time to process, but nothing happens. No error message, nothing. I'm sure it's just something embarrassing that I'm completely overlooking. But I have no idea what. Here are a few screenshots, if they help: Attachment 18789 Attachment 18790 Attachment 18788 Let me know if any other information would be helpful! I didn't bother to include any sample clips of the video I'm working with because I didn't think it would be all that relevant here, but... if it would be helpful, I'll be happy to provide some. :salute: Thanks as always for any help! |
Odd.. never had this issue before, you sure that is the only job running? Maybe you need to remove the jobs and add it in again.
If that doesn't work, as a quick troubleshoot option, why not add an audio track to the video? Just to make sure the problem is because the mp4 file is being made with no audio track, I might be wrong but I think an audio track is needed. If so, then just add an audio file that is nothing but silence. |
I see two jobs in that log - if Hybrid gives you a warning that you haven't set up Audio, it will still quietly go ahead with running that job, even if you go back and change audio settings to your liking and try again. I would click on the Jobs tab, then I would both stop and delete any jobs I find, and start over.
I hate to admit it, but jobs I meant to stop for whatever reason that should have been removed before proceeding still trip me up now and then in Hyrbid. |
I think I had this issue. Don't recall the solution. However, here's what I would try:
