Sony DVW-A510P vs. DVW-A500P capturing?

if I compare SP rips from these beta decks, A510P (SN 1****) has always right black strip/bar, A500P (SN 5****) is without that. Please, is there any way to achieve this on the A510P (setup or something on board) ? I can't find any usefull info in the setup menu.

I use SDI output > blackmagic shuttle 2 (V210)

Post two samples with steady object to see the full length of each scan line.

Upload other samples.

No, Something shows the entire length of a scan line, Plain screen doesn't help.

thank you for answer. that's a shame, I prefer a picture quality from A510 than from A500 and head from A500 are very used, many dropouts..so I was hoping I could set something up to get full scale on A510.
It is interesting that I got this black right bar on PWV-2650P, HDW-M2000P and DVW-M2000P yet, only from A500 and J-3 I got picture without that.

Does it happen with all tapes? Did those machines doing it ever "not" do it before? Could be one of those things where 16 horizontal pixels are added versus not if the tape is analog maybe? The other thing to look at would be whether the analog outputs (component/s-video/composite) also show those black bars or if that is only in the SDI output. I could see possibly having to disable analog output (if that's an option) if those are supposed to add black bars and the SDI isn't.

Interestingly, I think I have most of the machines you've got (A500, A510, J3-SDI, HDW-M2000, DVW-M2000, BVW-65, though mine are all NTSC variants). However, most are in various states of disrepair as I haven't refurbed them yet with some not even powering on - that being the case, I haven't really done much testing to notice these sorts of things.

Guessing the A500 you don't prefer the picture from would have to mean that you are playing analog betacam or betacam SP tapes, since digital should either be "works or doesn't work"? How many hours are on the A510 vs the A500?

This only happens with SP tapes and all the time, digi tapes are without that and any other problems.
I can't check analog outputs, I don't have device for it, only SDI.

My A500P has been used a lot and the hour counter is not working, haha.
