Digitalising Mini-DV tapes Panasonic NV-GS27

I have a Panasonic NV-GS27 miniDV connected to my win 10 pc with a usb connector going to the pc and a firewire connector going to the camera. When i try to use WinDV it just says that WinDV can't find output pin. The PC also recognizes the camera as a webcam. In Win movie maker i could see the camera and could capture but the free version had a very ugly trademark. Could it be that I need some drivers of some sort, even tho i have the newest drivers from panasonic installed. In Scenalyzer it says that the connected device does not seem to be a DV device, but i can still use the playback buttons on the program and it plays back on the camera.

miniDV tapes are already digital, the right term is transfer not digitize. I don't understand how one cable have USB on one end and firewire on the other hand, It must be USB on both ends, In that case SClive may not capture DV from it, I've used the Pinnacle firewire to USB adapter and Sclive worked with the Pinnacle driver installed, but I'm not familiar with USB capable camcorders.

Edit:
From the looks of it and after reading the user manual you can't transfer DV footage over USB, it's only for Webcam functionality, you would have to use the firewire cable and a PC capable of firewire port.

Some pictures would help of your cables and ports you are using. Technically it is possible to have firewire go to thunderbolt and then then USB-C which is really still thunderbolt with the same connector, but many motherboards don't support that unless you are using a fairly modern computer or a Mac and if it does, it'll have a lightning bolt logo next to the port. Technically the Pinacle movie box (also called the 710 model) can go from firewire to USB 2, but I haven't tested it myself, but is widely known to be able to do so as long as the drivers for the pinnacle device are installed.
