VirtualDub VCR Input checkbox?
 

Under "Capture Filters" there is a checkbox for "VCR Input"

It is shown grayed out in the guide. It is not for me. What is this for?

Bottom line, basically does diddly squat.

Setting does nothing. Never implemented, ghost setting.

Why still visible?
- some software/documentation added it in expectation -- but then never removed it

But even after this was known, it may still be visible. Why?
- some software is created by idiots (example = Pinnacle Studio, infamous junkware)
- some documentation is written by idiots (non-video "copywriters" that know very little about the item/subject being written about)

That botton probably doesn’t do anything. I tried it and it didn’t do anything for me but it’s something that I can only find the thread that was already linked about. That thread isn’t really certain if that button does anything. Someone could test it with a regular VCR and see if it helps the signal. I don’t want to because I don’t think it is good on a card to feed it that kind of signal. It might have some affect. I can’t find much information either way.
