Philips VR 960 Ok/Status Button Not Registering?
 

I recently acquired a Philips VR 960 in excellent condition. It did not come with the remote, but the buttons on the front panel all worked, and it plays tapes great. However, after opening the menu and making sure the audio was set to HiFi, the ok/status button will no longer register/let me select any of the menu options. The button works outside of that as far as I am aware, but I'm not sure why it suddenly stopped working; did I accidentally get it stuck in some sort of weird mode? If you have any ideas or any experience with this VCR, feel free to let me know your thoughts.
