Panasonic DMR-ES10 SECAM L to PAL conversion problem
I'm UK based and also have a DMR-ES10. However I have been unable to get it to convert SECAM L to PAL. I'm feeding it with a pure SECAM L signal from a French VHS tape. All I get is a black and white picture with a lot of colour noise flickering.
Am I missing something obvious? In the set-up menu it only has the options for PAL or NTSC. I was under the assumption that when set to PAL it would auto-detect a SECAM signal input? |
You should convert SECAM to PAL or NTSC first. DMR-ES10 is not multisystem converter.
|
I read elsewhere here that it should automatically detect SECAM and output it as PAL.

Why not to read manual?
|
I did, and it says it can input SECAM.
|
Yes it can input. And output too. SECAM/PAL/NTSC.
However - no, output is PAL or NTSC. Switch input to SECAM. |

My DMR-ES10 only has PAL and NTSC options. There is no SECAM option.
|
If so you have ES10 without SECAM input. Page 41 in manual.
