Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro good?
I got Matrox RT.X100 Xtreme Pro together with input module (will receive after a week) for EUR 50.
If I understand correctly, problem with those is the same as with Lynx One sound cards - good cards, but works only under XP. It is not a big problem because I have serviced XP machines where it can be used. Opinions about that? |
25 years ago, yes.
Now, no. RT.X cards rely on not just XP, but outdated software like Premiere 5/6. I used to really want this card. Now I wouldn't use it if it were free. |
Ok, thanks! EUR 50 is not a big mess :)
I have (licensed) Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 in my archive folder. But well, to mess with it would be likely masturbation (pardon the expression). I just sometimes buy useless toys (but cheaply) :) But I believe this should be updated: https://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/vi...rd-capture.htm -- merged -- However just curious - if it support capture of lossless YUY2 (I am not sure, really did not investigated this :)) in Premiere Pro 2.0, why it could not be used for capture? Later captured file can be edited in another programs. |
All of the guides need 2020s updates.
Matrox cards pre-date Premiere Pro by about a decade. I don't refer to Premiere Pro 5/6, but pre-Pro 5/6. Ancient versions. If IIRC, RT.X is DV and MPEG only, not lossless. Save that €50 for literally anything else, even non-video (a steak dinner, whatever). |
OK, will do! :)
