Huffyuv 32 bit - 2.1.1 & 2.1.1 ccesp 0.2.5 with installer for w10/11
I did this to simplify the install and unistall process. ciao |
Why the question mark?
What are the different zip files? Please clarify. |

I've not yet tried it, but will soon. But I must note, for capturing, the non-CCE original Huffyuv is usually better. :hmm: |
My question is what makes it different from hofmand's installers, that you don't need to launch it through a command prompt?
I mean, if it works then it works. |
This is the new best easiest way to get Huffy! It’s easier than Hofmand’s installer.
I just installed it on windows 11. The first download is the original 32 bit Huffy which should be used. The second download is the CCESP patch which is a hacked version that was made to be compliant with the Cinema Craft Encoder which is an old Mpeg2 encoder. It shouldn’t be used. With this installer you just click on the file and run it. You don’t have to go to command prompt or anything. Good job Darkeyes7777. The only thing I don't get about it is why is the second link there since no one uses the CCESP 0.2.5 version? |
Thank you!

Could you do that with the 64 bit version of Huffy? As far as I know people generally use the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of Huffy now. They need the 32 bit version for capture and the 64 bit version if they use a 64 bit version of Avisynth.

I wrote about this more in depth in a MainConcept Reference post several years ago. Quote:
C:\Windows\System32 (64-bit location of the 32-bit Huffyuv DLL) C:\Windows\SYSWoW64 (32-bit location of the 32-bit Huffyuv DLL) And yes, Sys32 is 64-bit, and WoW64 is a 32-bit location. Perfect example of IT (computer nerds) doing things that don't make any sense. And/or lazy. |

I tried out your .exe install and they are really easy to use! I used the installer for all 3 of the 32 bit codecs. I tried to install your other .exe for 64 bit from this post of yours and it did not work, and broke the 32 bit one. Maybe you have to do them in a different order? When I looked at the .inf files manually installing stuff the 32 and 64 were different. I could only get one or the other to work. (although I could get the 32 working and use the -mt 64 version and have both of those)
Eventually I went down the road of Hofmand's .msi installers and was able to get both 32 bit and 64 bit to work at the same time. Not as easy since you have to open a command w/admin but it worked. https://github.com/hofmand/video-codec-installers |
