Have you downloaded the latest MMC 8.9?
If so, do you see any changes?

I take the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" stance on updates and upgrades. What I have is fine, using 8.1 and then 8.7 on my two ATI systems.

The ONLY thing that temps me is the true 704x480 MPEG-2 that started in ATI MMC 8.8 .. a new resolution that works better than 720x480 on the Theatre chips (which is native to 704 and 352 sizing).

But as we are all becoming aware of, 8.8 was a major flop ridden with bugs.

If you want to try it out, you have my best wishes. This is actually the first I've heard of it, I'll look into it in coming weeks and give my judgment then.
