I need to find somewhere to upload my set of drivers I have been using since 2004 onwards with every single all in wonder card I have!
I call them my "sweetspot" drivers. They have never let me down. I copied/cloned them everywhere in my stash of stuff. I need to detail exactly what I have, will do that promptly. |
I noticed in this post here, the AIW 9700 Pro appears to be PAL. Does this mean it's the only one that can capture PAL media?

On Win 10 64 bit, got ATI TV Wonder VE (?) I got decades ago at a Goodwill. Been trying for years to get it to work. Only time I ever got it working was under Ubuntu years ago. Will any of the drivers etc on this thread help/work?

By request, adding both ISO (drivers disc) for the ATI AIW USB.
- Download 180_V01089_100 first, try it. - If it fails, only then should you attempt to get the 180_V01100_200 image. |
What is the current best method to seting up my recently acquired ATI TV Wondwer 600 usb dongle on my Windows 7?
I have Vdub set up and Huffy integrated successfully, i think. Do i need to make a cd of the iso of the software? I have muddled my way through this forum looking for an answer and the one i think i need to implement are from very old posts. Do I need Crossbar Thingy for this capture device ? Please help me figure out the most recent correct method to utilize this dongle? After that I will hook everything up and do some testing. THANKS |
Which drivers should be used for the AIW USB?
|
That’s a great question.

Use either of them. Just variants uploaded for posterity. Quote:
Setup/install drivers. Not CMC. Probably reboot. Open VirtualDub, card should be there. The 600 USB default audio levels are too high. It needs a registry hack, to adjust values from 100% (256) to 50% (128), I forget the db value offhand. Audio should always be captured at 50-66% of the system max, to avoid too low (insufficient gain, raising noise floor), or too loud/high (distortion). That quick proceed is outlined here. Quote:

Is the AIW 9000 Pro low profile acceptable? The purple input box is easy to find but what about for video output, that weird square?
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/8hoAA...inq/s-l500.jpg Is it a useless card without the dongle that gives you DVI/VGA output? |
Anyone seen any videos that compare the AIW card capture quality? I am still researching my workflow and have finally settled on Windows XP and getting an older AIW card. However, I feel like the only thing holding me back is trying to figure out which card is better. I feel like some video samples would help clear that up.
I'd personally like to see the PCI/PCI-E cards, but AGP would also be welcome. |
Thank you for directing me to this page and post Sir Smurf, I downloaded both variants, I appreciate you. But I just wanted to clarify if these drivers work for the larger "gray box" (non-dongle) ATI TV Wonder USB as I currently already have the ATI TV Wonder 600 USB "dongle" up and running on my XP Machine (I used the install disc that came with it). I assumed the driver for the larger gray box non-dongle was different...

Anyone has success installing drivers(especially WDM) for the AIW 9600 XT? I've tried the 180-V01084-100 iso linked in post #4, and also 180-V01085-100 iso which supposedly comes with this card, but in both cases I can only get the display driver working, not the WDM driver. I've selected to install ATI display driver, ATI WDM driver, MMC 8.8(which installs UCI) using the Atisetup.exe from the iso. After reading some of the other threads for the AIW 9600 XT where WDM drivers don't work, I've almost given up and am ready to buy a AIW 9200 card to (hopefully) avoid this driver headache.
My capture system specifications: -AsRock 775i65G R2.0 -Intel Pentium E5200(Wolfdale) Dual-core -AIW 9600 XT -Kingston ValueRam 2x 1GB DDR400(Dual-channel) -Windows XP Pro SP3 Integral Edition x86(2024.11.29 release) |
Hi diigicube,
I saw your post about the ATI X1900 capture card , and I found it very interesting and help full. I recently managed to find the card, but it has been extremely difficult to locate the drivers for it. I’ve searched everywhere without success. I noticed you have the installation disk 180-V01114-100 (which includes ATI MMC 9.13). If it’s not too much trouble, would it be possible to relink The link to the file does not work anymore Thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide! Best regards -- merged -- Quote:

I’ve recently found the same X1900 card and would like to restore a proper setup with the official ATI MMC 9.13 software. Would you happen to still have a working copy of that ISO, or know where it can be downloaded? Thank you very much for your time and expertise. |

I'll pull it, upload it tomorrow, PM you the link. (If I forget, PM me in a few days.) I'll actually be sharing a lot of drivers/software when the new site is launched. |
