Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U TBC memory?
ive read this unit has the JVC TBC/DNR setup.
does anyone know offhand if it has the 2MB or 4MB TBC i can find the specs for it anywhere does anyone here use one? if so what do you think of it overall? |
I made an attempt about a year ago to get one of these for testing and to have a unit that can track EP tapes. The ebay seller messed up the listing and really had a HS-HD1100U, so I never got one. I later landed up with a JVC DVHS and an AG-1980 so I never pursued it again. I did get a nice big box of DF-300 length DVHS tapes out of it though!

Given its age, I would guess at 2MB. The thing with RAM is that speed matters just as much as the MB amount. Later S-VHS VCRs had faster RAM, and could therefore process as well as an older 4MB chip. If I'm not mistaken, the SR-V10, SR-V101 and HR-S9911 all had 2MB chips. I think the 9900 was the last of the 4MB models.

You may be able to identify it from the Service Manual if you look at the board diagrams:
