question
dose a tv got any thing to do with how the DVD is record on the DVD recorder?

hi, if you are recording directly from the tv, then the reception of the tv will affect what is recorded on the dvd. ohter than that, you are just using the tv to monitor what you are recording if doing dubbing. thanks

No. The tv just shows what's happening. It comes after the DVD player, in the chain of command. So, for example, muting the tv has no effect on the recording, it just mutes the tv.
