JVC HR-S8600 vs Panasonic NV-HS1000 S-VHS video capture VCRs?

Hi all, first, sorry for my english, i'm spanish. I've reading your interesting posts about buying an VCR, and I know you will say "it depends on ...", but I want to ask you about these two VCR's, I can choose one, both will cost me the same (about 200€). Is the JVC reliable? Is the Pana an insuperable machine? It will be mostly for VHS tapes transfer (not s-vhs, not vhs-c). What I'm lookin for is the best picture quality and a reliable mechanism.
Thanks in advance and sorry about my poor english!

both good machines
your really should have both
but if i could only have 1 it would be the Panasonic
i have some tape that just plain wont play in a JVC deck
but the Pannys seem to play anything.

Thanks volksjager for your answer, as you say "i really should have both", but it's impossible. Which of both has better TBC and DNR? Is the JVC Digipure system so "magic" as all of you say? My mind says "buy the JVC" but my soul says "take the Panny". I really don't know what to do, and a last question, is the price (about 200€ each one) right?

there is no 1 "magic" VCR that will play every single tape great.
JVC decks play most tapes excellent and a few tapes horrible

the Panasonic has a much stronger TBC and a better transport.
the only JVC ive used that can match the Panny TBC is the SR-W5U & SR-W7U

but with that being said many prefer the picture output by the JVC's
(the pannys tend to be sharper)

another great option are the JVC and Mitsubishi D-VHS decks
these are newer and less likely to be worn out
