New ATI All In Wonder Radeon X1800 XL advice please!
 

Hi,

I need a PCI-e card for my new mobo!

I would like to buy this card but I would like to know the PAL warning is just concerning the tuner?

I mean I can still capture NTSC tape with huffy codec?

It should be no problem since I can capture PAL tape with my AGP x800 wich I assume is NTSC (bought in Canada).

PAL just applies to the analog tuner, which doesn't work for NTSC either now. You can capture NTSC (with an NTSC VCR) just fine. Or PAL with a PAL VCR.

The same is true of that x800 card.

It's true of all ATI All In Wonder cards -- PCI, AGP, PCI-e.

The eBay auction is still available, but I wouldn't get it. Note that it has no accessories. It's useless without those wires/adapters.

In a month or two, I'll be putting TWO fully-functioning ATI AIW computers (whole computers) for sale in the marketplace. With my situation being what it is, I no longer need them all.

Then according to my initial question, I assume that the PAL is concerning only the tv tuner.
