JVC HR-S7500 is not just HR-S7500! (PAL vs. NTSC)
I am very confused.
If I read the lists of JVC videos on this forum AND the specifications on the HR-S7500U here: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/prod...lId=MODL022140 ...it is very clear that the 7500 should have TBC, 2MB and Dynamic Drum etc. But.... this is not true for all the models. I just bought a HR-S7500EH and this model DOES NOT have TBC, Dynamic drum or anything else... it has SVHS playback and thats it! no more. According to this thread: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...ing-guide.html the EH should just be European version with Nicam. But this can not be true, there must be more to the EH since I have a 7500 version without TBC. I am really confused about this. JVC's model numbers are really ridiculous!! |
the PAL model numbers are very different than the NTSC models.
these are not the same deck at all. you need a 7600 8600 or 9600 or higher to get TBC in PAL |
Yep. PAL and NTSC have vastly different suggestions. It all on the list.
7500 was NOT listed for PAL, and it was not simple accidental omission on my part. That was on purpose. Sorry to hear you bought the wrong one. :( |
The list I was looking at was this:
http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...ing-guide.html Quote " The 7000-series has 2MB TBC RAM, 9000-series has 4MB and uses the Dynamic Drum system." Maybe this is true for NTSC, but not for PAL and this is not mentioned anywhere. I just have to sell it again, it didn't cost me more than 35euro and the condition is very good. But it is really difficuelt to the hands on a good JVC SVHS VCR these days and I have a lot of VHS tapes I need to transfer. I used a HR-8500 with TBC and it was great, but the sound processor died on it. :-( |
