Pinnacle branded ATI AIW card?
At one time Pinnacle marketed a graphics card (DVI, VGA, audio out, and IEE-1394 connectors) with capture system based on the ATI Rage Theater, ATI bridge, and agere chips. It included a "blackBOX" breakout box with analog Y/C and composite video and analog audio I/O, and a firewire terminal. It may have been part of the an old Edition/Liquid NLE system Pinnacle marketed.
Is this a worthy device if one can find a motherboard and drivers for the card? |
I actually vaguely remember Pinnacle using ATI. That was at least a decade ago. That sounds like a typical ATI AIW 8500 DV card, but simply rebadged. ATI ame with Pinnacle software, so simply upgrading it would have been probable.
I'd guess that any PCI generation system would handle it -- everything from P4 to quad-cores. |
