DataVideo TBC-1000 firewire port?
Getting my equipment set-up to do some capturing and noticed that my TBC-1000 has an opening on the front panel for a firewire port (four wire). Their is no port their, but circuit board inside has a 1394 marking on it. Unit S/N 091634.
Anyone have any idea if they ever offered this feature? If photo(s) helpful advise me. BTW may have a TBC-1000 for sale in a week or two, will put in Marketplace when and if available. |
For DV to DV via Firewire you don't need a TBC-1000.

Thanks - was just curious why the potential port is their. Looked on the datavideo support page and a photo shows that opening covered with a plastic plug.

The same housing as the VP299

One case fits many, wonder what product used the firewire port.

Possibly (?) the TBC-7000, which supports Digital 8 input but only via s-video or composite.
None of the TBC cases has an input jack, plugged or unplugged, that will accept a Firewire cable. Firewire has rectangular connectors. There is no place on any Datavideo TBC (100, 1000, 3000, 5000, 7000) for a rectangular i/o jack. |

http://www.broadcaststore.com/pdf/mo...o_TBC-7000.pdf also the Datavideo TBC2000 had no Firewire, see 2 Screen I only know the toy Focus Media Converter with DV-IN TBC is promised to see 3 photos |
I've never seen a IEEE1394 aka FireWire port on a TBC-1000 or VP-299.
