Anyone Have the JVC HR-S5100U?

I just bought this model on eBay at a great price. I tested with SP, LP and SLP speed tapes. The playback appeared to be pretty clean even, surprisingly, on the LP tape I have. It did not do a great job of tracking on one of my SLP tapes as it would not play cleanly at all. But, overall, it was pretty good.

I do have a Panasonic AG-1980 that works well but was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this JVC model. I like to have an alternative to try to get the best playback I can get for my transfers to DVD.

Bumping this up. I have searched the forum and have not found any posts about this model.

Anyone have experience with this model? How does this compare to the non-TBC models listed in Smurf's VCR Buying Guide?
