Flagging problem detected on a specific tape (that's always been a pain...)
it's consistent throughout the tape, see image below interestingly if i put the panasonic dmr e50 first in the chain i don't get flagging (but i get color stripes)...pick your poison -- merged -- One thing i noticed today is that it support RGB for the input (scart) on line1 and you can obtain RGB with a VCR by using both the composite video & s-video output of the vcr (a special scart is required with a in/out switch). Doing so the main menu of the vcr is smoother and as crisp as if it was s-video. Well you guys decide: archive with pictures from all inputs here |
Thanks a million Lordsmurf! I added the Panasonic ES10 to my workflow and it eliminated the signal drops. I'm so glad to preserve these wonderful memories.
old workflow: VCR -> Elgato (couldn't record more than 4 minutes) new workflow: VCR -> Panasonic ES10 -> Elgato I plan on re-ripping in the future once I acquire a SVHS, ATI HD 600 USB and a green AVT-8710 for even better quality. |
