Non ATI VHS video capture cards recommendation
I am starting to work on a couple of projects at once: VHS digitization and building my own 8mm film digitizer. I have spent the last couple of weeks reading many posts on many web sites. Please help me stop my spinning head and eyes.
I have three video capture cards. I'm wondering if any of them will be able to do a clean capture from a Mitsubishi HS-HD2000U or recommended JVC with TBC. I have a Diamond VC500 (USB-based), Diamond TVW750U (USB-based, was used as TV tuner), and Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 (pcix1-based, was used as a TV tuner). The HR-2250 is currently installed on my Windows 7 pro-based system with the capture part of the WinTV8 software. I have gone through the "Best ATI All In Wonder card alternatives, to transfer tapes to digital?" but I'm still not sure about the cards I have. Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve BTW, this site is great! |
The Diamond VC500 is what I use for most captures, and it does a nice job.
Can't say too much about the two other cards, |
